Michelin has won two prestigious Tyre and Fast-Fit (TAFF) awards at this year’s ceremony held by the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA). The Company picked up both the Industry Advertising Campaign award and the Product Innovation award at the association’s annual dinner hosted this week in Manchester.
The TAFF Awards are fiercely contested each year. Michelin beat rival tyre manufacturers Continental and Pirelli to win the Industry Advertising Award category. The award showcases the best in the creativity and the Company was chosen as the winner for its ‘Right Tyre Changes Everything’ campaign. The campaign, which has been running for several years with a different emphasis each year, focused on safety showcasing the Michelin Primacy 3 tyre.
The Product Innovation Award was awarded to Michelin for its Energy Saver & tyre. Tests on the tyre showed it reduces fuel consumption by 200 litres for every 45,000 kilometres travelled and, on average, it provided 9,300 kilometres more than competitive premium tyres.
