What happens during the FREE check?
- Your details will not be taken. Your results are confidential.
- Your free safety check takes under fifteen minutes to complete.
- Your tyres will only be checked with your permission.
- Your results will be left in a pack on your windscreen.
What’s more, the information pack will contain discount codes for The Auto Care Group, should you need new tyres.
When was the last time you had your tyres checked?
Failing to check your tyres regularly could cause an accident, and land you in serious trouble with the DVLA. Getting caught driving with one bald, or damaged tyre comes with:
- A £2,500 fine
- Plus 3 points on your license
That’s a fine of up to £10,000 and twelve penalty points if all 4 wheels are damaged.
How do you know if your tyres are legal?
The law requires car tyres to have a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm in a continuous band around the central three-quarters of the tyre.
If your tyres have less than 3mm tread, though still legal, the stopping distance and performance of your vehicle are severely impacted.
